Kaleidoscope

So I just registered for efy last night! I'm so excited! Im going to Palmyra this year, and I'm rooming with one of the most amazing, sweet, gorgeous girls I have ever met! Super excited!

Also, I have been extended a calling as the ward bulletin specialist...kinda scary to be doing an "adult" job, but it's kind of exciting too! Hopefully I can magnify my calling and make atleast a small contribution to the kingdom :)

Finals week is over, and I am seriously so happy that it is! Not too excited to get the results, but hey I'm just glad that it's over.

I was thinking today about how our lives are a kaleidoscope, constantly changing and morphing, yet always made of the same integral parts. And with all these tiny parts, all jumbled together and reflected, our lives create a beautiful composition filled with love and hope and joy. But, you can only see the beauty of a kaleidoscope when you put it up to the light.

So use your kaleidoscope, turn to the light, and see the beauty that is all around you and in you!

#Embark

2015 is here! It's pretty crazy, but 2014 is actually gone...it was a wonderful year that I am sad to say goodbye to, but I'm excited for all the new things that come with 2015!

First, the new youth theme! It is Doctrine and Covenants 4:2, and it says:

“Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day”

And along with the theme, there is a new music video!!!!!

I love this video! It makes me want to go out and serve other RIGHT NOW! I love how it starts out with real words that the prophets have said to us and all the changes that have taken place to hasten the work. It makes you realize that we live at a pretty amazing time to be a member of the church!

Also, it is time for New Year's Resolutions!!!

This year, I want to serve others more. I want to attend the monthly Preach My Gospel class. I am going to go on exchanges with the missionaries. I am going to read my scriptures more. I want to go on my first date ;) I want to more consistently blog and #Sharegoodness. I want to have more missionary experiences. I would like to go to the temple every two months at least (we live far away so hopefully this happens). I want to prepare for the Philadelphia temple to be built (so excited!).

I also want to get off the computer a little bit on Sundays to study the gospel and write in my journal... so I kinda gotta go. But enjoy the video, enjoy the theme, and ENJOY THE YEAR!!!
